Music for James VI and I

MINOR CORRESPONDENCE.
The Editor of the 'Progress of King James I.' again ventures to inquire whether a copy exists of 'The Ayres that were sung and played at Brougham Castle, in Westmorland, in the King's Entertainment; given by the Right Honourable the Earle of Cumberland, and his Right Noble Sonne the Lord Clifford. Composed by Mr. George Mason and Mr. John Earsden. London, printed by Thomas Snodham, cum privilegio, 1618,' folio, mentioned by Sir John Hawkins in his History of Music, and by Dr. Whitaker in his History of Craven. A speedy answer will much oblige, - The Editor still has among his desiderata the London Pageants of 1611, 1612, 1614, 1617, and 1624.
