Herbert Bell was a photographer, based in Ambleside, Westmorland, making portrait and landscape photographs from the 1880s to 1940s.
The Armitt library and Museum, Ambleside, has a large collection of his prints, which are presented here.
An overview of the collection can is given in the Tabulation, accessed from the menu.
Any of the other menu lists allow you to view one image at a time. The parish lists provide an interesting selection.
