St Mary's Well, Heversham, Cumbria, SD49588346 -- Ivo de Taillebois endowed St Mary's Abbey, York, with Eureshaim ie Heversham, in 1094. And thus the well is named for St Mary.
It was the local water supply up to 1908 when piped water was installed in the village.
In 1905 there was a ban on steam driven vehicles, traction engines and the like, using the supply:-
The pump does not look old, but is said to have been fitted in 1905.
