road, Garnett Bridge to Sadgill, Whitwell and Selside, Longsleddale, Westmorland, SD59 -- A line across the valley before Great How, ahead on the right, is roughly where the Coniston Limestone Series crosses. From there the geology changes from Silurian period Brathay Flags of the lower valley to the more rugged Ordovician period Borrowdale Volcanic Group rocks.
