	6 November 1817:- The first page in the diary, and notes on the facing page. Facing the first page:- Things taken to [the Show] Mr [Gridtons] Nov 1817 60 acquaints coloured do prints do 60 Proofs 5 Guinea Book 26 Views Lakes Parts 2 & 3 10 Guinea Book Then what looks like the real first page; the lake is Derwent Water:- 1817 Nov 6 This book opens with an account of the pleasantest day I ever witnessed at this season of the year - I went in a boat round the water with Mr Hutton the morning was sunny, and so serene that the lake was at times so perfect a [mirour] as to reflect in the highest perfection all the surrounding objects - I must not forget to describe the [arch] in the guide which [MrH] pointed out which is made by the reflection of the rocks at Lowdore. --- afternoon drawing went with Jane to Lowdore 7 drawings 8 went to Ambleside with Mr Allison death of the poor Princess Charlotte 9 Mr Allison went morning
