Thornburghs of
Hamsfeld
T. asks, Was John Thornburgh, Bishop of Worcester, who died
1641, descended from the Thornburghs of Hamsfeld Hall, near
Cartmel, co. Lancaster? He bore the same arms, viz. Ermine,
fretty and chief gu. with a mullet for a difference.
