Save Our Souls
The RNLI, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, maintain lifeboat stations at Silloth, Workington, St Bees and Barrow. RNLI stations can be visited, but open hours and seasons vary; check before going.

The RNLI is a charity, the crews are volunteers, they deserve your support.
There are other volunteer inshore rescue stations, for example at Askam in Furness, and Maryport.
