"Sundial, dated 1747, on medieval cross-base; stone. Base is square with chamfer. Sundial pillar has square section with moulded capital and base; central shaft bellies out towards bottom and is inscribed "J.B.R.A. (indecipherable) 1747." Sundial plate is signed and dated "carlisle Spedding 1746.""
