"Limekiln. C18. Slate. Built into side of bank, with ramp and small quarry pit to rear. Round, slightly tapering form, with remains of projecting wall to left. Opening has corbelled arch and is splayed. Timber beam above, with slate dripcourse, probably indicates lean-to shelter. Roughly cylindrical shaft, partly blocked, open at top. A well preserved example."
