"Now disused. Built 1860's for the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway Company. Lakeland green stone with green slate roof. Two 2-storeyed gabled wings joined by canopied entrance in middle with half-dormer above. Sash windows with sandstone dressings. Platform facade has 3 gables, and very fine glass canopy over the whole platform (about 240 ft) consisting of about 20 gabled bays (hipped on rails side), with cusped lower edging, supported on iron columns and iron arches with delicate iron tracery in spandrels. Stone paving to platform."
